Promoting your eBook with Social Marketing

The eBook is done. You have used 3 basic selling steps by setting  up a Joint Venture program to get sales; using  Web 2.0 programs available and submitting articles on your eBook topic to article directories. What are your next steps to promote your eBook?

Blogging.

A good blog will help get your eBook the recognition it deserves.  Keywords are essential and should be used effectively in every post. Your titles and contents should have relevant keywords. Your posts should relate to do with the topic of your book so that the reader will develop an interest in your eBook.

Make use of the micro-social networking sites. Twitter and FriendFeed are two successful networking sites.  And by setting up a FaceBook and MySpace page for your eBook you will get more interest and traffic.  Micro-social networking and social networking is extremely effective in getting the word out to potentially millions of people.

An eBook does not sell itself. You need to promote it and then upload a sales page for ordering. You can take care of orders by setting up a PayPal account and tracking sales or you can use ClickBank or PayDotCom and expect it to sell itself.

Get those JV partnerships, start blogging and article marketing; use, Scribd, Hub Pages, Google Knol, Squidoo and Weebly to your advantage. And make use of social networking! Besides selling an eBook you will be gaining friends and building business contact that will help you become known as an expert in your chosen topic or niche.

Another area that is becoming advantageous to marketing is the use of video. I must admit this is an area that I am not as familiar with but plan to set up. You tube is the most obvious video center but more are becoming popular everyday.

When you set goals and work out a schedule to use all these programs you will see things start to happen and that’s when all your eBook marketing efforts will fall into place and prove worthwhile!
